Hodges addresses Leadership South Carolina class
April 21, 2005

Clemson, S.C. - Jim Hodges addressed the 2005 Leadership South Carolina class at Clemson University on April 21, 2005. As an alumnus of the leadership program and a former Governor of South Carolina, he talked about the importance of giving back to your community and making a difference. Specifically, Hodges led a brainstorming session on the following topics: education, economic development, internal strife, poverty, poor planning, environmental destruction and an obsession with the recent and distant past.

"Leadership South Carolina opens eyes and builds networks of people empowered to meet challenges confronting the state," Hodges said. "We need a passion to be not just the best in one part of the state, but in the world. We need long-term plans for all these problems."

Hodges serves as keynote speaker and panelist at various conferences and seminars throughout the country on topics ranging from economic and business trends to education issues.
