Hodges Named to Oquirrh Institute Governors Board
February 1, 2006

Columbia, S.C. - Jim Hodges, former Governor of South Carolina, was named to the Oquirrh Institute's Governors Board. Founded in 2004, the Oquirrh Institute Governors Board is a growing group of former governors from around the nation who advise the Institute on public policy questions and participate in Oquirrh Institute meetings and forums. The Institute looks to this bipartisan and well-seasoned group as a powerful resource in refining existing projects and generating new ideas, as well as helping the Institute navigate through sometimes-rocky channels to find and implement viable solutions for the challenges currently facing our nation.

The Oquirrh Institute, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, was founded during the 2002 Winter Olympic Games to harness the positive and unified spirit engendered by the Games and apply it to solving the challenges facing the nation. The Institute is distinguished by its prominent business leaders, former governors of both parties, and other experts who lead the Institute and who are devoted to creating enlightened public policy in an era of continuous technological change.
