Governor Hodges Speaks on Tax Increment Financing at Forum for Progress

CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Former South Carolina Governor Jim Hodges addressed Tax Increment Financing at the exclusive premier of the Forum for Progress: North Carolina Self-Financing Bonds in Charlotte, N.C., on Thursday, December 2. Hosted by Kennedy Covington Lobdell & Hickman, L.L.P., the forum addressed the background of Amendment One, the opportunities and challenges Charlotte can expect with the new statute, and how Charlotte businesses can prepare to leverage self-financing bonds.

Joined by Jeff Brown and David Jones of Kennedy Covington, regional economic development leaders, and members of Bank of America's municipal finance team, Governor Hodges led the discussion and provided insight to leveraging self-financing bonds.
